My Drawing Tribute to My French Teacher: Mr Wilson

French is my 3rd language which I enjoyed learning in US. Mr Wilson is one of my favorite teachers and he hoped that I can do a drawing for him so that when he has his own classroom, he can hang it up as a decoration and memoring me at the same time. With my respect to him, I made this drawing for him. I hope he will like it!

My Design: A Study for A College Professor

This is my interior design of a study for a college professor(just some basic ideas). This design includes its floor plan, furnitures( all the big furnitures in this paper are originally designed by myself) and explanations.
This piece of work took me more than 9 hours, from designing to sketching(both in pencils and markers)

Cogressional Art Competition

My drawing: A Friend, went in Congressional Art Competition and I went to see the exhibition several days ago. I used to think this drawing is not good enough to enter this kind of big competition and I should suggest my art teacher to submit some of my art works which at least took me ten hours. To my amazement, this simple drawing went in! It was just an amazing experience to me, a exchange student from China. I saw my drawing when I went to the exhibition room and you can't believe how excited I was! A flash of light was deliberately designed for my framed work! It looked so much better with the ray.
Everything just went well and I saw some really awesome art works that day. Surprisingly, I met Congressman Jim Moran and took a picture with him.

Commission: Lisa&Bre

This is a drawing tribute to my best friends in Calorado: Lisa and Bre. Actually they came up the idea and I'm glad to do a drawing for them.

This drawing took me a while to figure out how to express figures since they provided so many well done photos and I couldn't decide which photo should be used.Finally I came up with this composition in which Lisa looks down and Bre's eyes look at the audience. I used to consider making the whole drawing darker and erasing out the highlights. But after doing some experiments on the figures, I eventually decided to keep my style.

Commission: Kids

This is the first commission in my life. My math teacher asked me to do a drawing for her kid and a couple of friends of her kid. This drawing took me 13 hours and I got payed, this is the first time I got payed for my skill of drawing.
